To the Legislative Assembly of Ontario:
WHEREAS Ontario’s colleges and universities have been chronically underfunded, forcing program cuts, turning away qualified students, and leaving campuses without the resources they need; and
WHEREAS Bill 33 threatens essential student services — including food banks, sexual assault centres, academic supports, campus media, LGBTQIA+ spaces, cultural associations, and clubs — which are funded and run by students for students; and
WHEREAS undermining these services makes life harder and education less affordable at a time when government should be strengthening post-secondary institutions and expanding support;
