To the Legislative Assembly of Ontario:
WHEREAS Ontario is seeing record-setting heatwaves across the province
WHEREAS there have been alarming reports of tenants not being permitted to install their own air conditioning units in their apartments
WHEREAS Ford's Conservatives have refused to give people the right to install AC in rental units, even after passing Bill 97, leaving tenants defenseless in dangerously hot homes
WHEREAS extreme heat is putting lives at risk; especially for seniors, low-income renters, and people with disabilities
WHEREAS we need maximum temperature regulations to protect renters
